How to Put Fog Lights in a 1992 95 Honda Civic
If you own a 1992 to 1995 Honda Civic there will be fog lights installed in the lower front bumper. However, over the years these fog lights have certainly seen their share of wear and tear and it may be time to upgrade to a Euro-styled halogen, or an amber colored lens, or maybe youve had an accident and you simply need new ones. Rather than go to the local garage, this is a perfect do-it-yourself job.
Instructions
- 1
Make sure the engine is off and you have applied the parking brake. Never work on an automobile that is on or that is not securely parked. Let the car cool if it has been running a while. When the hood is cool to the touch it should be safe to begin.
2Lay a blanket under the front bumper and crawl down underneath the front end of your Civic. Look directly behind the drivers side fog light and notice the wiring harness plugged directly into the lights socket. Unplug this wire.
3Use an adjustable wrench to loosen and remove the three mounting bolts holding the old fog light assembly to the bumper. Then pull the entire assembly out and discard of it appropriately.
4Insert you chosen replacement fog light assembly. Secure it in place in the Civics bumper with the supplied mounting screws or bolts. Plug the wiring harness back in. Then repeat this same process on the passenger side light and you are finished.

95 Camaro Troubleshooting
The 1995 Camaro is a sportscar manufactured by Chevrolet. The 1995 model comes with a V-6 engine along with a multipoint fuel injection system. If you are having problems with your 95 Camaro, there are several things you can do before taking it into a service shop. Common issues occur with the fuel, battery or the spark plugs on the car. These repairs dont have to be done by a technician. You can do them yourself.
Instructions
- 1
Pop the hood to gain access to the battery. Make sure that the connections from the cables are tight with the battery terminals. Use a pair of insulated pliers to tighten the connections. Look over the connections for any corrosion. Clean the connections with soda and a wire brush to remove the corrosion.
2Turn the ignition to the "On" position to engage the instrument panel. Look over the gauges to make sure you have enough fuel to start the car. Fill the tank if you need more fuel. If the gauges will not turn on, you have a problem with your battery. Connect the battery to a battery charger and leave it overnight. Try to restart the car. Replace the battery if the car will not restart.
3Look over the coolant levels if the car is overheating. The cooling system is on the left side of the engine under the hood. Fill the coolant system with 50/50 coolant to remedy the problem. You can use regular water if needed until you can get coolant.
4Pull the spark plug from the spark plug housing on the engine. This is labeled as "Spark Plug" on the engine. Touch the spark plugs wire to the metal on the car. Look for a blue spark from the spark plug. Blue sparks mean that the spark plug needs to be replaced. Spark plugs can be found at local auto repair shops.
5Look at the bottom of the car for any leaks. If you do find a leak, have the Camaro towed to a service shop for further inquiry. Repair shops have specific tools for diagnosing leaks.

How to Adjust the Parking Brake on a 92 95 Honda Civic
You can adjust the parking brake on your 1992 to 1995 Honda Civic right from your home garage, saving you time and money. You only need a few simple tools that most backyard mechanics have on hand already. You can tell when it is time to adjust your parking brake when the Honda starts to slip when you are parked downhill and have engaged the parking brake.
Instructions
- 1
Look for the covers on the screws that hold the center console cover on top of the parking brake. Remove those covers using a Phillips screwdriver then remove the screws underneath.
2Push the console cover back and up to lift it off of the parking brake.
3Find the parking brake cable and the adjuster nut attached to it. Use a wrench to tighten the nut.
4Put wheel chocks in front of and behind the front wheels of your vehicle. Put the jack under the rear end of the Honda and raise the vehicle up high enough to slide jack stands under the vehicle, next to both rear wheels. Lower the car onto the jack stands.
5Verify your adjustment by lifting up on the parking brake until it clicks twice. Spin the rear wheels to make sure there is some resistance. Pull up four more clicks on the parking brake lever. When you try to spin the rear wheels, they shouldnt move at all.
6Raise up the Honda using the jack, remove the jack stands and lower the vehicle to the ground. Remove the wheel chocks from behind the front wheels.
7Place the center console back on and tighten the screws with the screwdriver. Put the covers back on top of the screws.

How to Replace the Water Pump on a 95 Volvo 850
The Volvo 850 is a compact executive car made from 1992 to 1997 by Volvo Cars. It was available in sedan and station wagon body styles with front-wheel drive. The 1995 Volvo 850 had a 5-cylinder, 2.3-liter engine, or a 5-cylinder, 2.4-liter engine. Both engines have the same procedure for replacing the water pump. This procedure requires you to relieve the fuel pressure and drain the cooling system.
Instructions
- 1
Remove the fuel pump under the dashboard and start the engine. Allow the engine to idle until it stalls to relieve the pressure in the fuel system. Turn the ignition off and replace the fuel pump relay. Wait for the engine to completely cool.
2Remove the cable to the negative battery terminal with a socket wrench to prevent the battery from causing sparks. Raise the vehicle with a jack and support it on jack stands. Disconnect the splash guard below the engine with a socket wrench.
3Turn the heater control to the maximum setting and remove the cap on the expansion coolant tank. Place a drain pan under the radiator drain cock on the right side of the engine block. Connect a hose to the drain cock and place the free end of the hose in the drain pan. Open the drain cock to drain the coolant into the drain pan and close the drain cock.
4Detach the fuel lines from the fuel tank and disconnect the expansion coolant tank with a socket wrench. Remove the front cover for the timing belt and the accessory drive belts. Disconnect the timing belt.
5Disconnect the retaining bolts for the water pump with a socket wrench. Remove the water pump from the engine block and discard the old gasket. Clean the mounting surface on the cylinder block with a shop rag.
6Install the new water pump and gasket to the engine block, and tighten the retaining bolts for the water pump to 15 foot-pounds with a torque wrench.
7Connect the timing belt, accessory drive belts and the front cover for the timing belt with a socket wrench. Install the expansion coolant tank and connect the fuel lines to the fuel tank. Connect the splash guard and lower the vehicle. Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal.
8Fill the radiator with coolant and start the engine. Allow the engine to idle until it reaches its normal operating temperature, then turn the engine off. Top off the coolant to the correct level and check the cooling system for leaks.
